Stella Artois is a 5% alcohol by volume (ABV) larger originating from Leuven, Belgium but predominantly brewed in the United Kingdom. It is named Stella after the Latin word for ‘Star’.
In 1842, brewers in Pilsen, Bohemia, developed a low fermentation beer using exceptionally delicate hops. The result was startlingly different from traditional dark, cloudy brews and the birth of Stella Artois - a full-bodied, clear and golden coloured brew that should be served cold at 3ºC.
